Exciting News!
This December I decided to republish this little book on a new platform and chose Lulu. The process was so easy and I’m thrilled with the results. I’ve just received my review copy and it looks great. So - it is now live
The History
A few years back (2018) I signed with a ‘hybrid’ publishing company in England to publish my first volume of poetry, The Night Before Snow. All went well for the most part (I adore the cover) - but when the manuscript was uploaded to Amazon (and I took receipt of my 200 books) it became immediately apparent that there were egregious errors. For one, after I had approved the manuscript, someone ran it through Word and all the lines became capitalized. Other issues such as orphaned and widowed lines, repeating poems, and missing poems made the whole exercise distressing.
I do have the correct manuscript in hand, but have not been able to log into that Amazon account. The publishing company - Publishing Push Ltd - underwent a change of hands, and were unable to supply me with passwords and logins. And of course, there’s no way to talk to a human at Amazon, although I’ve tried. Manipulating their system was useless. So there it sits, 4 years later, still an embarrassment and still full of errors. I threw the 200 books into recycling.
Thank goodness for Lulu!
Yaaaaay! Can I has one??
